    Commissioners failed to approve the proposed 2026 county budget in a tense hearing Monday with Commissioners Randy Neatherlin and Pat Tarzwell voting to continue debate Dec. 9 over Commissioner Sharon Trask’s objection.     The Mason County results of the Nov. 4 general election were certified on Nov. 25. Of the 47,829 registered voters in Mason County, 18,300 cast ballots for an overall turnout of 38.26%.     Final election results show the district’s replacement levy failed by 18 votes, North Mason Superintendent Kristine Michael said at the school board’s Nov. 24 regular meeting.
